THE BLUSH PINK TREND THAT WILL CHANGE YOUR WARDROBE | HOW TO WEAR IT

BLUSH PINK RARE LONDON MIDI DRESS | LIPSY BAG | SWAROVSKI HOOP EARRINGS | NEXT SHOES

“Over the years I have learned that what is important in a dress is the woman who is wearing it.” Yves Saint Laurent

Pink is back and it has taken over fall 2017 as one of the biggest color trends. Guys it’s no longer the stuff of fluffy and saccharine Barbie girl dreams. This perfect pastel lies somewhere between saturated dusty rose and classically neutral light cream. Under the eyes of such designers as Balenciaga and Valentino it is fresh, defiant and on occasions even subversive. It’s time to rethink pink, as these stylish midi dress will attest.

Yes ladies, pink is officially chic. It’s a trend all on its own, with a soft warmth that positively glows, and it shows a depth that other pastels just can’t lay claim to.

If you would like to find more about this season the most fashionable hues it’s all here.

I have to admit that I have never been a huge fan of pink or any other light colours which is ironic considering I use lots of those on my blog, here and here. Blush is such a sophisticated, warm and elegant pink that it is a shade I actually enjoy looking at.  It looks so great on everyone so why not to try it on me!

This dress is the perfect combination of two awesome trends; the blush pink trend and the lace trend! The intricacies of this lace detailing make for a truly feminine look which I love! Paired with two toned stilettos and a clutch this outfit is perfect for evening and daytime wear!

The big question is how do you wear this hue so you still look like as stylish adult and not a Barbie girl.

Here are my 7 tips on how to wear pastel pink right

1.Avoid too poufy. If you’re wearing a pastel pink skirt or dress, keep the silhouette sleek and tailored as I did, so as not to look like you’re on your way to a Cinderella dance ball

2. Neutrals. Keep the rest of your outfit neutral. A pink piece looks modern when paired with black, white, grey and gold staples. At its most simple, these shades team up to deliver an outfit that is minimalist, sleek, chic and pretty feminine.

3.Similarly to the above pair blush with flattering colors that look good on you. I mean you and not anyone else. Blush is an accent shade that works with both warm and cool colors. If you want to incorporate blush pink fashion into your wardrobe this fall/winter, but the color will make you look washed out, sick, similar to a corpse try it with some other more vivid colour such as navy, chocolate, olive, black, burgundy, teal, emerald. These combinations will add more colour to balance out the muted and washy qualities of blush.

4.Faux fur collars. A look that caught my eye on fall runways are furs and lots of them. I already have every single coat that I own decorated with lovely faux fur collars. I just love that touch of softness and an additional layer that keeps me warm in fall and winter.  Now Guys why not take that one step further and reach for a pastel pink fur collar and casually throw it onto your everyday overcoat.

5.Coats and jackets. I have been recently looking to buy a nice coat in pale pink but it’s not always an easy task to get something that does not shout Hello Princess. My advice is, first of all make it oversized. A super-fitted pink winter coat could look dated and prissy, while a slouchy version looks invariably cool and of-the-moment. Secondly make sure to keep materials high-quality—think wool or cashmere, as opposed to nylon or polyester.

6.Choose blush accessories. How about fun fur scarves, hats, and bags fashioned in pale pink, which would definitely take a basic outfit to the next level.

7.Beauty accents. If you’re not terribly excited about incorporating the hue into your wardrobe what about small accents such as a pastel pink lip or bold pink nails.

Guys what do you think about this hue? What other colour would you pair it with? Please let me know in the comments box below.
