Summer doesn’t technically end until the 22nd of September but I can’t really ignore the ‘carpet’ of yellow and orange leaves in our garden or the bit of a chill in the air first thing in the morning as I drive to work. Fall is coming and … I can’t wait! I have already started looking for some fabulous Halloween outfits and the Christmas presents box is starting to get full.
I hope most of you read my previous post about Fall and Winter trends as this is what my theme is going to be throughout September to November. We are talking lots of florals, velvet, tweed, fur collars, brocade and jacquard fabrics and asymmetric pieces.
Today Fashion revisited… the ’70s and ’80 are back this season and I love playing with this mood by pairing updated statement pieces.
The cut, the colour, the print… this dress is a true beauty! It radiates everlasting Summer with a subtle hint of coming Fall. There’s a sense of strength and serenity with this piece… a glimpse of nature captured in a floral print mixed with masculine details of the prevailing black colour.
I adore this dress and especially love that every detail is thoughtful – the lush silk, the bubble hem and the continuity of the print.
When it comes to summer and fall, two color stories that I come back to time and time again are delicate rose and crisp mint. I love that these two colors add softness to casual outfits and elevate dressy outfits by giving them an ethereal feel.
This mini Ted Baker floral fancy bag is one of my favorites. I love the charming bow design and the floral pattern.
I really appreciate the uniqueness of this sleek midi dress. A fitted top coupled with a flare balloon-like bottom, this floral piece has lots of movement and vitality. I think that some designs really have a personality and this one has an especially happy aura that makes you wanna run through the fields screaming how much your love your life. With lots of bounce and swing, it makes braving the cold a lot more fun!
With a dramatic midi skirt and flattering silhouette you’re sure to be noticed wherever you go – simply pair it with heels and a clutch for a chic look at your next event. What’s not to like?
