One of the downsides to living in London is that you can always count on rain and windy weather and this does not help to maintain healthy and radiant skin. Also, with almost 7 months of depressing cold and rain/snow a year I have to admit that I just can’t be bothered with like 1-10 steps of looking after my skin when I’m covered pretty much head to toe anyway. Aside of the weather, it’s hard fitting any skincare routine into my crazy hectic schedule and I often ignore it completely. Therefore it’s not a surprise that I have ended up with dry cracked skin and with summer just round the corner I feel like I need to improve my routine even if it’s just a little step towards the change.
When it comes to skincare I have a pretty short list and I’m very slow at growing it. I really need to like a product before it makes its way onto my list. I’m so happy that the pressure of looking younger is slowly being replaced with the desire to look rested and glowing. Not even Botox or fillers can give that desired dewy, luminous glow. Only a thoughtful skincare regime can reflect the youthfulness that we feel inside and it reinforces the best version of how we look on the outside.
Today I would like to talk about Rituals, the brand I have fallen in love with, love I would like to share with you all. Founded in 2000 by Raymond Cloosterman, Rituals is designed to help you slow down and find happiness in the smallest of things. Their passion is to turn everyday routines into more meaningful rituals.
The Rituals latest Banyu collection, inspired by an ancient Balinese water ceremony has conquered my heart and my skin.

The Ritual of Banyu Foaming Shower Gel – Bali sea salt & Giant kelp
I usually struggle to find enough time to have a bath, so this shower gel has been a life saver on a very heavy rotation. It smells amazing and lathers up into a bubbly dream! First class article. I’ve been a fan of Rituals since I found their supple moisturising cream in my Mother’s dressing table as a small boy. I have found their products an effective method of reducing skin redness and tenderness caused by my earlier explorations into the self.

Here in Spain one of the downsides is the intensive sun, so you really need to take care of the sunscreen just not to get the pigmentation! Also doesn’t help radiant glow! These products look amazing – haven’t tried this range yet!
