Mixing elegant and athletic pieces has really made a comeback this year and I couldn’t be any more thrilled about it. Today’s fashion catwalks appreciate and embrace the beauty of sportswear. I finally feel like I can wear something comfortable and elegant at the same time.

Sportswear as a fashion trend has been continuously evolving for the past few years. With designers giving us a fresh take on the sporty theme every season, I have been inspired to rock the sporty chic look!

What’s is incredibly appealing to me about the sporty chic look (apart from being super comfy) is that it offers many easy combos that you can mix and match together. Life is too short for wearing boring clothes, that’s why you better think of something bold and functional.

Sporty but chic! I think those are the perfect words to describe today’s look. My latest find and current favourite is this Vero Moda Trousers with so currently fashionable side stripe that I picked up from Asos the other week. I really adore it because it is truly one of those pieces that tends to work with most top options from casual tee tops to silk and lace shirts with the elegant edge.

Guys tracksuits are back with a big bang and they are here to stay for a while. These are once again ‘a never without’ piece.

As you may have noticed I have a bit of a weak spot for details and this outfit has those in abundance. First, the trousers, there is the fitted length which yields elegance and class, and let’s not forget about the white and brown stripes which make a nice contrast against the black fabric. Basically, fashionista look on every level and definitely one of those wear-with-anything and anywhere pieces!

Then the jacket, my obsession with smart jackets continues, mostly as this is the piece I actually wear every day whether paired with formal or casual. When I tried on this River Island double breasted tux jacket, it was definitely love at first sight. I absolutely adore the double-breasted feature with gold tone buttons, the peak lapels and elongated silhouette with a split at the back. What can I say, I am a total sucker for details!

There are so many cool and easy ways to look sporty chic in the summer. Personally, I think it’s all about the confidence in what you’re wearing.
