I don’t think it’s a secret that Cancun happens to be one of my favourite vacation places with my recent 6th trip over there. From the nicest people, the prettiest blue water I have ever seen and the most amazing food I have ever tasted, I could not be happier to be there. You may remember a couple of posts from last year about our Honeymoon trip to the Bahamas, Miami and obviously Cancun but if not just click here and here for more fabulous photos and memories.
Since I’ve talked so much about this place, I thought it’d be fun to take advantage of the beautiful scenery and sun to shoot some outfit photos over there. I will soon be sharing more about Cancun including the best hangout spots, hotels to stay in and what to do for fun.
When it comes to fashion I’m not a huge fan of the plain Jane look, I always opt for interesting textures, bright colours or special details to add just a bit of edge to my wardrobe staples. What I love about the fashion we are enjoying right now is that we are finally free to experiment with colours, textures, styles, and express our sartorial identity.
It was so much fun running around the beautiful Secrets the Vine hotel shooting photos in this fabulous structured one shoulder skater dress from Forever Unique.
While I absolutely adore pencil dresses, sometimes a little change is needed to ignite a spark of energy back into my wardrobe. I love the combination of flare and bodycon, and the romantic charming nature of the shapes. This particular fit is meant to hug, hold, and emphasize the contours of our bodies. With this dress, I greatly appreciate the striped layout and cute lace inserts. It helps create an illusion of an hourglass shape while elongating my frame with its slim fit upper body.
As I was searching for some unique dresses for my Mexican adventure it was the colour and the off-the-shoulder neckline that drew my attention at first. What really made it a favourite is how comfortable and versatile it is! Love this dress because it looks great no matter how you style it or where you choose to wear it!
It’s a great dress for daytime paired with casual shoe options like ballerinas, or even jewelled flat sandals, yet equally stunning for cocktail hour, dressed up with heels and bold jewellery. I wore this dress for one of the dinners with my hubby and paired it with these glamorous pearl embellished satin sandals. I just can’t get enough of this combo.
Spring and summer dressing is not complete without a great straw bag and statement earrings! Though jewellery is not a big must for me, with the exception of brooches, I simply can’t seem to style an outfit without a pair of bigger than life earrings this season! I love the way bold earrings add a bit of edge to a casual look, they’re so much fun and incredibly chic!
If you are currently on the lookout for some cute summer outfits this combo is a must! It will take you from day light to night life cocktails in celebrity style. What I like about this dress is that it is great for the holidays and beyond (perfect for post-holiday festivities as well!) and it’s currently on sale at half price!
