Reflecting on the last few months, I’m becoming more and more convinced that disconnecting has been good for my mental health and wellbeing. I’m sure many of you feel the same and that you have also achieved a lot while self-isolating, sometimes even without realising it.

I haven’t had the most balanced life in recent years since I’m always so focused on my office job, building my business and working on the blog. I often put myself on the back burner without even realising it. I’m sure many of you can relate to this.

The last few months have really helped me to achieve a lot of the objectives that I always wanted to complete but somehow never had time. I have progressed (i) quite a few house projects, (ii) completed 2 months of Insanity Max workouts and achieved a dreamy six pack, (iii) learnt how to make all my favourite cocktails without the need to go out, (iv) mastered Zumba moves, (v) grown my online boutique Elegant Duchess and opened the Outlet with 25% off , (vi) learnt and introduced more healthy home cooked meals to my diet, and these are just a few.

Some of these are small wins but all these matter!

With summer kicking off and the world slowly adjusting to the new normal, now it’s-a good time to take a moment to pause, reflect and finally celebrate our accomplishments over the last few incredibly tough months.

I feel like I deserve to celebrate my achievements and put my best foot forward which invariably means I need to dress the part! After all, we have not had too many chances in the last few months to get completely dolled up.

Whether your plans consist of a small gathering with close friends or a garden party, it is time to get glam! Here are some of my favourite outfits fit enough to pop bubbly and enjoy the summer sun.

VIBRANT PLAYSUITS

Playsuits make dressing so effortless and have long been a summer style staple, just have a cheeky look here and here.
This shorter version of a jumpsuit requires little effort to match and restyle, making it perfect for just about any occasion. They’re a real-time saver, easy to throw on and you don’t have to think much about pairing separates together.

The typical 2020 summer garden party interpretation? It’s all about standout hues and prints.

CURVE HUGGING PASTELS

The celebration should ultimately be about you looking and feeling your best and a curve accentuating dress looks killer on anyone with the confidence to rock it.

COMFORTABLE CASUAL

For the family party, I love the idea of a simple jumpsuit, a head to toe statement trend that creates an effortless striking iconic silhouette beyond a simple dress.

Luckily, there are not too many strangers you need to impress however, it’s always a smart idea to look collected for your grandma or maybe an auntie who likes to comment on your attire. Plus there is always someone taking a ton of photos!

Jumpsuits can be just as elegant and polished and they come in many forms and styles, plus they offer an out-of-the-box wow factor that will earn you some serious style points.
