Now that temperatures are consistently low enough to wear a winter coat every day, you should at least consider adding a teddy bear coat to your wardrobe. It’s cuddly, conversation starting, and very versatile. And it doesn’t matter if it’s slim fitted, oversized or anything in between, because this style is going strong, very strong this season.

It comes in as many incarnations as the teddy bears they’re named after.

As soon as you put on a teddy bear jacket you will feel like you’re in coat heaven. So if you’re still thinking of investing in your winter coat, then here are my top 3 reasons why a Teddy Coat should be the one to go for!

 

TEDDY BEAR COATS ARE FUN

Fashion is supposed to be fun… and that’s exactly why I have finally decided to fill the gap in my closet and purchase this charming Lipsy Faux Fur Belted Coat. It’s incredibly soft and cudly and every time I wear it feels so cosy almost like wearing a fluffy dressing gown.  I find myself so obsessed with this little gem at the moment, I keep looking for places and reasons to wear it again and again.

It most definitely stands out in a sea of black down coats and because of its light hue will be a perfect gem to throw on even on those colder spring evenings.

IT’S WARM AND STYLISH

A teddy bear coat manages to do something that many outerwear pieces don’t, it’s adorably stylish and edgy whilst keeping yourself comfortable and warm. Not to mention its effortless chic appeal.

I love absolutely everything about this Lipsy coat, from length, fit, to the way it feels so light-weight yet keeps me warm in the chilliest of weather. It’s an ideal topper for any and every outfit.

IT’S INCREDIBLY VERSITILE

Incredibly easy to wear, this is one of the coats I reach for the most when I need to get ready quickly because it completes any outfit like no other. I’ve worn it with pencil skirts, skinny jeans and velvet dresses, and so far, it never failed to deliver.

Teddy bear coats come in all different shapes, lengths, silhouettes and colours and can be dressed up or down.

Perfect with every possible combination out there, a teddy bear coat adds a bit of polish and sophistication to everyday pairings like jeans and sweaters, yet also happens to be a perfect option to throw over a cocktail dress number for an evening out.

This gorgeous ‘bear’ from Lipsy I am wearing in today’s post is a recent find and current obsession du jour. To ensure my outfit has that wintery feel I’ve chosen a darker palette for the rest of the outfit. The individual items keep the outfit casual but by choosing the light coat it easily takes the outfit from day to night.
