The Petit Palais d'Aglaé, Gordes, France

“Take only memories, leave only footprints ” Chief Seattle

This traditional Provençal stone boutique hotel will welcome you in an exclusive setting with elegant decoration and refined furnishings. Nestled in a hilltop village Gordes in one of the most spectacular villages in the Lubéron region, the Petit Palais d’Aglaé is a slice of paradise open on the nature, calling for calm and serenity to enjoy the best that Provence has to offer.

Named after the Greek goddess Aglaea (in English) of splendour, a symbol of radiant beauty and splendour.

You will find here all the comfort necessary for your well-being: superb service, high-level professionalism, spa, restaurant, cinema room, walking paths, terraced gardens and of course a swimming pool. You will also be able to enjoy its exterior terraces with a panoramic view of the Luberon and the Alpilles, its gardens and its intimate alcoves nestled in an exceptional environment.

It only remains to pack your bags and head to Gordes to discover what the region offers best.

Chambres

The hotel offers a choice of 16 bedroom where baroque-meets-modern rooms with sculpted cerused wood furniture and glossy textiles.

Every room is an ode to beauty in tribute to Aglaea – individually decorated, features a view of the garden and has slightly different colour schemes.

Wining & Dining

You can enjoy the on-site gourmet restaurant serving fresh produce from the hotel’s own garden and local producers. Different menu options are available for lunches and dinners from provençal style, gluten-free to buffet. Every dish is bursting with the flavours and soul of the beautiful Luberon land.

We really enjoyed dining in the restaurant with its intimate simple table seating (25 seats) and neutral walls offset by whimsical velvet-backed chairs. In summer season you have a choice of an outdoor dining while listening to the orchestra of cicadas. How about a glass of wine while you admiring the breathing sunset accompanied by the panoramic view of the Luberon from the top terrace.

The restaurant is open daily all year from April 1st to October 31st and closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from November 1st to March 31st.

Wellbeing

From a seasonal outdoor pool, a sun terrace, a Decléor Spa on site (available for a supplement), free access to the hammam to free use of bicycles.

This place offers is a true oasis to recharge your batteries and soak up the warmth and beauty.

With such fantastic views the area is also popular for hiking.

Parking

Free private parking is available on site.
