The polka dot pattern has been around for over a century and is a trend that continues to come back into vogue season after season. From romantic blouses to statement accessories, the print is taking over in every form this A/W18. Fashion can be taken too seriously sometimes. That’s why now and then I love getting lost in trends that are fun like polka dots. Forget colour wheels, fixed ways to wear and pair styles, patterns or fabrics and just enjoy fashion!
Clearly, there is no shortage of polka-dots this Autumn! I have always had a fondness for this fun, retro pattern and I’ve really maximized this look for Autumn. It’s such a chic, feminine print, and so I’m bringing it into winter! I’ll be sure to enhance it with warm layers, structured pieces, and bold colours.

Tops
If head-to-toe spots don’t float your boat then look out for polka-dot tops. They look great especially in sheer fabrics because of the contrast it provides. Coats
Up your workwear style game this season in polka dot coats. Animal prints are a major fashion trend in street style now and no animal-inspired fabric is more stylish than the polka dot print. It’s a must have wardrobe icon whether you’re layering over a work outfit, or more casual looks.
Dresses
If you’re looking for a dress that will last for seasons to come then this one’s for you. A classic wardrobe icon, the polka-dot dress can work for any occasion from off-duty shopping trips to meetings at the office, even into wedding season. It’s that versatile and to embrace the polka-dot trend fully, you must add some colour like red or navy.
Skirts
Skirts are incredibly easy to style whether it’s an oversized chunky knit in winter or a simple tee when the weather warms up.
My fave, the pencil silhouette adds some chicness to the trend while shorter styles keep it low key.
