The long-awaited summer has finally arrived! As much as I enjoy the temperature when I’m sat in the garden sipping a cocktail, enduring a sweaty commute to and from work can become a challenging mission that’s not for the faint-hearted.
Let’s face it, not all places of work are strappy summer dress and flat sandal–friendly. After all, you have to look relatively formal for all the meetings. However, chances are, as soon as the clock strikes 5, you’ll be dashing out the door to start more fun social activities. And it’s all great but do you really want to waste any time changing your wardrobe when the sun is shining outside?! Your wardrobe needs to work hard for you and take you from your desk to drinks seamlessly and without breaking a sweat (literal or otherwise).
This is why when I saw this pretty TREESAD dress on sale in Ted Baker I couldn’t resist buying it! It was the combination of sleeveless style and oversized ruffle that captured my attention. I really admire the intricate cut and shape, which give this staple a slightly more dramatic look and feel. Another reason is how comfortable and versatile this dress is. And then the colour of course! Universally flattering, grey also happens to be one of those elegant colours that looks great with pretty much everything. Basically, everything about this dress screams great, great, great!
I don’t know about you guys, but something about a fitted midi dress always puts me in a good mood! I tend to update my wardrobe with at least a few perfectly fitted office dresses each season. My must-have wardrobe staple.
What makes this dress so special is the fact that it’s a timeless classic which never truly goes out of style, and transitions seamlessly from one season to another. I’m sure it will remain in my work closet for a number of years to come.

What a lovely dress! I do like the colour, the cut and the style. Grey is always such an elegant choice and matches everything well, the cut of this dress is wonderful and the ruffle detail makes it special. A perfect dress for a day at the office and yet so versatile it can be worn for a number of occasions. Moreover, it fits you like a glove. You have such a tiny waist! This dress looks so much better on you than on the model that is modelling it on Ted Baker Page.

I love that you’ve made it clear that the transistion from something more work appropriate to a sort of casual drinks evening is a lot easier than you’d think and that ruffle really adds to the unique nature of the dress.
