Winter is officially here and something about the brisk temperature makes me want to revamp my entire beauty routine (and also my wardrobe!).
I don’t know about you, but here in London the last few months of the ever changing weather, (wind, rain, snow), have taken a toll on my skin. I’ve been searching high and low for all the different ways to get fresh and glowing winter skin.
While I still encourage you to exfoliate and mask regularly, and even try out a few new oils or serums, I wanted to give you a makeup update to get your winter beauty bag ready for another level of cold. I’m heavily relying on the products below for my daily dose of radiance, so I wanted to share them with you so you can also enjoy fresh and glowing skin … even in winter.
MAGIC FOUNDATION
With less daylight and more staying in, you’re bound to be a few shades lighter. Try to use this time to switch up your foundation, whether it means going a few shades lighter or picking a different finish. If you tend to get drier as I do, you should definitely try this Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation. I have been using this little gem for over a year now and I love how moisturizing it is, and how smooth it makes my skin look. It’s ultra-light yet provides enough coverage. I love the water-infused formula as it offers moisturizing benefits while illuminating my skin. It’s also super easy to apply. You just need a few swipes, then blend, and go.
CHARLOTTE TILBURY MAGIC AWAY CONCEALER
Everyone tends to look a little ‘washed out’ by the middle of winter and this is where this CT concealer comes in handy with its brightening full coverage liquid that keeps you looking radiant and lively. The Retoucher Pen is also a must when it comes to reducing the appearance of dark circles, blemishes and imperfections, for fresher-looking second skin instantly! I have been using it for over a 6 months now and I couldn’t be happier with my skin at the moment. It looks radiant, glowy and so smooth.
I absolutely love the new Magic Precision Sponge designed to roll over imperfections, and hug the under-eye contour for the most flawless application of your life!
CHARLOTTE TILBURY CHEEK TO CHIC PILLOW TALK
I fell in love with this two-tone powder blusher in a gorgeous dusky pink and champagne shimmer the minute I saw it while browsing Charlotte Tilbury products. The mix of warm and pearly colours with luminous gold flecks in each shade looks so gorgeous on my skin.
The two tones double up as a highlighter and luminous blush. With this palette, you pretty much have all your cheek needs taken care of!
CHARLOTTE TILBURY PILLOW TALK LUXURY EYE SHADOW
In the Pillow Talk line, you get a gorgeous range of matte and shimmery shades that are super versatile to use, which is what sold it for me. The colours blend nicely and can be worn to create a natural or dramatic look.
My favourite, champagne pink, matte dusky rose, soft matte brown and rose gold sparkle shades, help me to achieve romantic, wide-eyed, ‘I woke up like this’ eye makeup.
Since I added this palette to my daily beauty routine I have been going back and forth between shimmery shades for a luminous effect or matte for a natural day look. No matter what your preference is, it’s customizable with this one palette! It’s definitely a must have for whatever season really!
