Christmas is fast approaching, and the next thing you know, you’ve got New Year’s Eve knocking on your doorstep.
I’m sure I am not alone when I say that one of my favourite things about the holiday season are the parties/dinners that bring the whole family together. In a period of adversity, time spent with loved ones is even more precious for all of us.
As we know this year celebration will not be the same as what we are used too. We all want some kind of Christmas, we need it, we certainly feel we deserve it. But what we don’t want is to throw caution to the winds come together.
While Christmas will certainly look different this year, that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate Christmas during COVID-19. The key to safe and healthy COVID-19 Christmas plans is to keep them as small as possible and ensure that you follow the rules.
While we may be celebrating at home instead of big glitzy parties it that doesn’t mean you can’t look your best! Christmas parties, even virtual ones, still require a degree of fabulousness.
Regardless of where you’ll be this Christmas, I’m covering some of my favourite festive looks, easy to put together ideas that will look and feel amazing during the festivities.
GLITTERY MAXI
Christmas festivities are never complete without a glittery piece. It’s jubilant, attention-grabbing, and easy to wear with no accessories required.
One Shoulder Glitter Ruched Maxi Dress
DECADENT LUXE
Always classic, always elegant, there is a special kind of magic that comes with a bold midi velvet piece. I find this soft fabric incredibly sumptuous and to be more fitting during the colder months because it has a heavier look to it.
Prepping for Christmas does not have to be all glitz and glam if you are not into sparkles. It’s possible to look just as chic and party-ready in a smouldering jumpsuit.
DAZZLING SEQUINS
Who said sequin dresses couldn’t be LBDs? A party dress with a healthy dose of sequins is the best way to celebrate.
Black is a classic shade for party sparkly dresses, so it’ll be a staple in your closet for years to come.
KEY ACCENTS
Accessories are the best way to elevate any look, there is no denying.
Accents are key, and lately, I love pairing my dresses with sparkly bags, hair clips, bracelets and shoes. A slightly more modern and fresher approach to add a bit of edge to classic looks.
These are just a few outfit options and above all, comfortability is the key, so make sure you are wearing something you feel relaxed in.
