With the festive season approaching fast it’s time to start looking around for some party outfits. It’s impossible not to notice that the Wild West fringe is a major theme this season.
Fringe can take on many forms, from leather to yarn to metallic to beaded to denim. It can feasibly be added to pieces that are relevant to any season, handbags, accessories, dresses, and outerwear. Given all this and its impending popularity, it’s worth investing in a piece or two and it doesn’t hurt that it’s basically Instagram gold.
Who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle to lighten up dark winter evenings? I know I certainly do, and the Velvet Beaded Fringe Jacket I’m wearing in this post is definitely a favourite at the moment! Love the slightly boxy yet still body hugging silhouette, love the chic sparkle of the silver fringe against black velvet, love the fact that it doesn’t wrinkle and how soft it is! Basically, love it all!
I am a big believer in the benefits of fringe, which is why I am so happy to see so much of it this season! Dramatic, glamorous and fun, I love the way fringe adds that perfect touch of wow to a look!
Velvet and fringe, definitely one of my favourite combos in colder months, this dynamic duo seems to be having a moment and I couldn’t be happier!
TIPS & TRICKS
CHAMELEON QUALITIES
It can be very elegant and glamorous like this jacket from ASOS or more casual western-inspired look like a fringed jacket paired with jeans and boots. Really, you can make it your own!
VERSITALITY
Gorgeous on garments, fabulous on accessories, really, it’s one of those trends that looks great on everything and anything! I mean… fringed gloves, bags, oh and fringed earrings of course! So cool with chunky knits and blanket coats!
DRAMA QUEEN
I definitely have a soft spot for fringed accessories since I love a bit of drama when it comes to shoes and bags. My favourite this season, fringed chunky scarves and gloves that adds that sophisticated, polished element to any look.
Well, fringe and scarves are basically a match made in fashion heaven.
NOTE
Fringe is always an eye-catcher so you need to know your perfect balance so you look trendy and not like an OTT cowgirl. Go for one piece that is embellished with fringe and leave the rest of your look basic.

Oooh shine bright like a diamond! J’adore the fringe trend and look in general. And I’m more of the Tina Turner fringe style than the Wild West. Your top is divine and I’m sure has great movement when you walk!
