‘Winter dressing is all about having chic outerwear’. George Kotsiopoulos
The first day of snow in London…. That was actually back in December but since I dedicated the month of December to glitz and glam I’ve delayed this post till now.
As we don’t get that much snow in London (if at all) I embraced that day with open arms and walk in complete awe and amazement!
One of trends that I keep revisiting is the modern day Victorian. I really like putting a modern spin on some of the Victorian pieces in my closet like this little gem with dramatic sleeves and charming lace panel details.
What I really appreciate is how delicate and feminine this dress is.
The chic high neckline, structured pleats and frilly fluted cuffs create flirty frock that flatters the figure in a fit and flare silhouette. This dress is the perfect balance between sexy and classy. I love that even though I’m covered up, I can still show off a little skin in the cutest peek-a-boo way.
I love love these Tenesha Velvet Over The Knee boots from Aldo.
They’re so beautiful when paired with other statement pieces like this faux fur throw from Ted Baker or Carvela Darla Quilted Velvet Tot. They undeniably add the perfect dose of understated elegance.
What I really love about this particular pair is how versatile it is, in classic black, made from smooth plush velvet, and featuring a sleek, calf-hugging silhouette. On contrary to sock like boots, these offer just enough space to tuck in your skinny jeans by day for a streamlined finish, or you can pair them with a sexy mini to dress things up at night.
For those who follow my blog is not a surprise that velvet keeps reappearing in my posts. I can’t get enough of this sumptuous fabric as you can see here and here, one of NYFW 2017’s most luxurious trends. Rich and luxe velvet fabric can add a dose of glamour to any outfit.
